Tix City offers tickets for thousands of sporting events, family shows, concerts and theater events throughout the country. Founded in 1999, Tix City has grown from a part-time operation into one of the leading marketplaces in the ticket industry.
With the purpose of increasing cross-selling opportunities for Rutgers University football team, Tix City looked into creating a marketplace site where fans could buy and sell tickets. As a Fan Exchange Marketplace, users establish the ticket prices, while Tix City provides the FedEx shipping. DDC DS was chosen to build the Rutgers Fan Exchange website with FedEx API integration.
One of the greatest challenges was to reflect changes in the price set by sellers immediately, on every stage of the buying process.
